Our Featured Artist Event for October 2008
Dorothy Broaddus Clay Artist

Memories of Big Bend - Images in Raku
The focus of the exhibit will be a new collection of raku pots with images of mesquite tree and other scenes of the West. The artist recently visited Big Bend National Park and was inspired to continue the series that began with Texas pines. The stark beauty, isolation and visual contrasts stirred Ms. Broaddus to create the raku ideas in pottery and in sculpture form. The Matisse-like images will be displayed on pots, trays and wall-hangings.
Opening Reception Thursday October 4th, 2008 5:30-8:00pm
at Houston Potters Guild Shop and Gallery 1701 Dunlavy
Please come out and join us for Food and Wine!
This exhibit runs thru October 31, 2008
